Well here we are again. Well this week was pretty good. Well it was alright actually, but it was still good. It was a pretty normal week here, lots of walking, a bit more sitting. Well I think I'll dedicate this email to about the investigators mostly.
So first off we have Christian and his family. Well they're good, but we weren't able to teach him last week! He was always busy. That seems to be the big problem were finding here. But hopefully he's still doing good.
Next we have Sonia, Karla, and Pablo. They're the grandchildren of the preacher we were teaching. They're also good, we taught them about the restoration and they understood it well. They even had some friends there with them that we taught too. And Sonia came to church this week! So that was good, also good was she already knew some of the people there. That's always a blessing.
We also taught Nacho a couple times this week, but he still doesn't have permission from his dad to get baptized. So that's no fun.
Also Anibal is doing good. we taught him, cleared up a couple doubts he had, and then he said that he was gonna go to church for sure, but didn't.
Alex, the old investigator is also doing really well. He also said he was gonna go to church but didn't.
Basically that's what happened with most of our investigators. They either weren't there, or they said they'd go to church but didn't. So that's a little fome (lame) when that happens. But we did find a new guy this week. His names Martín. Hes 20 and he's really receptive. He's also really unique, I would call him the Chilean equivalant of a surfer kind of person, like with the way he talks and everything. But he's really good too, we've already found him twice, and he couldn't go to church this week, but he said next week he would, so I'm optimistic. His moms kinda crazy though.
So now for a couple of the goings on here in Chillán. One thing I learned, not sure if it really works, but if you throw sugar on a fire it makes less smoke come out. Another thing, the mundial (world cup) has started, and it's apparent that when Chile plays, it'll be hard to get stuff done. The world cup's so popular here, imagine the super bowl, that everyone watches and lasts for a month. That's basically how it is, and one night, while we were planning, a drunk guy was walking down the street, singing at the top of his lungs and dancing down the street, like as if he was in a musical or something. But I wasn't fast enough to get my camera. Ugh, haha, but it was still hilarious. And yesterday it started raining, and it's pretty windy too. And in other news, I finished Jesus the Christ! It's such an amazing book.
Oh yeah, and todays cambios! Elder Grant is leaving, but I'm not sure who's coming in his place. I'll let you know next week I guess! Well thats all I got for you, love you all, the church is true! Have a great week!

10 months in my Mission!
Isnt that crazy? Time is just flying by. Well, this week was pretty good. Had its ups and downs.
Well on Monday, we found Cristian to teach him again, but this time we taught his family too, and it was really good! They're all gonna pray to see if what we say is true. I have big hopes with them.
Tuesday in the morning we got the glorious news that we can play sports now! Like soccer and basketball. We couldn't for the whole time I was here, but now we can! So that was cool. Then we did a minicambio with Bulnes, and I went over there, which was good.
On Wednesday we were walking to an appointment, and I was balancing on this like log and I split and fell. It was kind of embarrasing, but luckily there was no one around us, haha. Then we went over to teach Miguel (the preacher) and he went to Santiago and is staying there I guess. Now we both just couldn't believe it, right when it seemed he was making progress. But then we got in and taught his 3 grandchildren, and had a really good lesson! It could be a blessing in disguise. But I'm also very hopeful for them too.
Thursday was a pretty normal day. At lunch we had a desert I never had. If I had to describe it, it was strawberry flavored foam, haha. But it was good nontheless. Oh, and on Thursday we had some little kids through a couple rocks at us. I'm not gonna lie, I think the only times I get mad on the mission is when someone throws rocks at us. Oh well. It's so amazing the love Christ had, I wish I could just have a piece of it.
On Friday we had an activity run by us, where people talked about their conversion, and then applied it to the missionary work. But unfortunately no investigators came, but I think it helped the ward a bit (our wards pretty dead in the missionary work).
Saturday was pretty normal. Once again we've got the problem where not a lot of people are in their houses, so were doing a lot of walking. Sunday was alright, none of our good investigators came to church though, ugh. Even thought they said they would. Its a bit fruistrating sometimes but oh well.
And then today we made good use of the being able to play sports, we went and played soccer for a good while, which was a ton of fun. I'm pretty rusty though, but oh well.
Well that's basically what happened this week. Next weeks cambios, so that should be interesting. I'll keep you guys updated. Love you all and have good weeks!

Bueno Choro!
Well here I am, another week gone by and another Pday. So you know, the more flaite people call each other choro, which actually means mussel. How interesting. Well this week was another one that sadly wasn't too eventful. But I'll try my best to let you in on what went on.
Well on Tuesday we had a family home evening at a familys house, and Nacho and Cristian came, so that was really good. Cristian really understood it well, he's a pretty cool kid. I know for sure he's gonna get baptized. The next day we had another appointment with Nacho and his mom. So there the mom informed us that Nacho wouldn't be able to be baptized, even though he wants to. I guess the dad is completely against it. But were gonna do some stuff, and try to talk to the dad. Faith can't be lost too easily.
On Thursday we had a pretty cool lesson with Miguel the preacher. During that lesson he seemed a lot more willing to find out if what we share is true. He even said, I guess I'm not doing all I can to find out if it's true. So theres still hope for him.
Then Sunday was disappointing, none of our investigators came to church. An interesting fact, we sat down and gave one lesson between Saturday and Sunday! So that was a little bit tough, but I guesss that's just how things are.
And today we had a zone activity- We played dodgeball and made french toast. Boy I'm tired, but it was a lot of fun. And after I get done here at internet, there's a cool traveling shop here, it's like a bunch of little shops from different countries, and I think I'm gonna buy some cool stuff there.
Well that's what happened this week. Pretty sure this week will be better. OH, just remembered something. Yesterday the Chilean national team played Ireland here in our sector! But we weren't over there. Oh well. Well the church is true, I love you all for all your support, and hope you have great weeks! And to make up a bit, I'm gonna send some pictures!

Oye!
Hello everyone!
Once again another week has gone by. I've found out that as I get further into the mission, time goes by faster and faster. I can't believe I've already been in the sector for a cambio and a half. Well not yoo much exciting happened this week. But here goes nothing.
Well on Tuesday we had interviews with the President. It was his last one. So those were good, the asistants always help to get us be better missionaries. Well I think that's like the only notable thing that happened this week. We've been doing lots of contacts to try to find people to teach. Which has worked a bit. Also weve been looking for old investigators. Which also has worked. I'll elaborate on some of the people were teaching.
Well the kid Nacho we still haven't been able to find. He has all the attendances to get baptized, and wants to do it, but we gotta find him to get him his teachings. Also the kid Cristian wanted to go to church but at the last moment couldn't. But he's good too. Basically one problem were finding is that we can never find our investigators. But once we find them they'll be good. Were still teaching Miguel (the preacher) and he's still crazy, but he may progress. And last night we found a good lady doing contacts. I have a good feeling about June, I feel like were gonna find a lot of success. We've also found a couple old investigators were gonna start teaching again.
Well this email is rather pathetic. It's sooo small. But thats all I really have to say. Lets see... Nope, couldn't think of anything more. Well hopefully next weeks letter is a bit better. The church is true, this is His work. Love you all, I love being here, and talk to you next week!

This weeks ups and downs!
Well hello everyone!
This week has had both its ups and downs, well I'll explain exactly what happened. Well it hasn't been too eventful of a week.
Anyway, on Tuesday we did a minicambio with Quillón and I stayed here in the sector, and Elder Pimentel came here, he came in the same group as I. So that went pretty good. On Thursday we had the conference of the missionaries. That was also good, I love them because it really boosts the spirits of the missionaries. One experience I'd like to share from the conference. Well there's a missionary here, who is pretty far along in the mission. Well I think it was like a month ago or so he found out that his dad was murdered. You can imagine how hard that must be. But he bore is testimnoy of the gopspel during conference, and it was really powerful. It's amazing the faith and the willpower some people have. So that was really neat, the spirit was really strong. Also, it was the 2nd to last one for President Chavez. He finishes the mission in June.
Well I'm not joking, that's about all that happened this week. I am feeling good now. Really excited to work. This week we've been finding a lot of new people, and some of them are really good. We found a kid named Christian, and he seems really good. We also have Nacho, who again went to church. And something pretty cool, I'm not sure if I've told you about Miguel. Well he is a preacher, haha. He doesn't belong to a religion, but he goes around preaching with a megaphone. (it's somewhat common here). We've taught him quite a few times, and he always lets us share, but he still has some pretty crazy ideas about the Gospel. But he understanmds that if he gets a testimony that this church is true he´ll know what he's gotta do. And he came to church this week! That was a pretty big shock for me. It was funny, even people recognized him. So we'll see what happens with him.
So the bad that happened this week. I've told you about Eliana (an inactive, but her family is not members). She has had health problems, and she has been doing a lot of exams. And she found out this week that her sickness has no cure, and that she will most likely die from it. Well we went by and found that out, then she started telling us about how now she doesn't believe in God. I guess it turns out she didn't really have strong faith. Yes it's a very tough time, but she like told us 10 times about how she just doesn't believe in him anymore. So that family basically died as investigators. We might pass by in a while, but who knows. The other bad thing, I believe I've told you about Ismenia and Mauricio. I hope so, but yesterday they also told us they didn't want to share anymore. So all the bad things happened 2 days in a row. But I know that "we recieve no witness until after a trial of your faith". So we just gotta stay firm and work hard and we'll see the blessings.
Well that's about all I have for you this week I believe. But here's a picture of the crookedest house I've ever seen, hope you can see it in the picture. haha, well I hope you all have a good week. The church is true, beyond any doubt, and I love this work. Love you and talk to you next week!

Mothers Day phone call !
Hello everyone! It seemed like we just spoke! Oh yeah, we did. Boo, that was bad. Anyways, here I am another P-day. Well this week was pretty alright. I'll go through the couple notable things that happened.
Well on Tuesday we had a FHE with Eliana and her family, Roberto and Eduardo. Which went pretty well, but it's hard to find them nowadays, the mom has quite a few health problems and she's not there often. But there's still hope for them.
So I don't know if I told you about a lady we found named Berta. But she's good, we taught her again this week, this time the restoration. Which was a pretty good lesson. She's gonna pray about it to see if it's true, and we're gonna see her later this week.
Also, we had a ward dinner this week, and we had to give the message. We had it all nice and planned out to help them get more active in the missionary work, but then we had to change it last minute, but it still went well. We talked about the small and simple things they could do to help us out, and gave them all Books of Mormon to hand out and write their testimonies in, so we´ll see how that works.
Well that's basically how the week went. Oh yeah, forgot to tell you about Nacho. (Nachos short for Ignacio). He's the cousin of some new converts, and has already gone to church 3 times, but we haven't been able to find him to teach him. But we finally did! And we put a baptismal fecha with him. So hopefully he´ll be able to get baptized in a couple weeks.
Well now that's officially it. The work continues like always. This work is true, the church is true. My testimony grows more each day. Well I hope to hear from you next week, it was nice hearing your voices yesterday! Have a great week!

9 months old!
Well hello there everyone! This weeks gone by really fast, time is just flying. This week I'll turn 9 months old in the mission. So this week was ok. Not too much happened his week, although we did a lot of walking. A ton! So we make it so we aren't spending so much time walking, and more time teaching. But that's also hard, cuz weve been doing a lot of contacts, but haven't been able to get into many houses. So I'm not too sure how long this emails gonna be, didn't have too much progress with investigators either. Even our Noche de hogars fell through. But oh well the work continues on.
A couple cool things did happen this week though. While doing contacts we found a lady who said we could come back. We came back and it turns out she's a member, but not all her kids are baptized. So hopefully we'll see some cool suff from that. Another cool event was also while doing contacts we had a lady let us in, and had a really cool lesson. She accepted a baptismal fecha (date) and hopefully she'll be good too.
So lets see, not too much else happened this week. But for sure this week coming up will be better. Oh yeah, today was cambios. But both Elder Grant and I are staying. So that's good. Well I'm really sorry about how sad and pathetic this letter is. But I'm excited to talk this Sunday! Well I think I'll make up for this short letter by adding some pictures.
First is a pic Elder Sarmiento just sent me of Katalias, Antonellas, and Sebastians baptisms. Thats a cool one.

Next is he cake we finally made! It turned out really good and tasty

After that is the stadium in our sector. pretty decent size.
Then me with a massive completo. Its hot dogs, with palta (avocado), tomatoes, mayonaise. And its pretty good.

Elder Grant with his completo

Hope you enjoy! Love you all, the church is very true. My testimony grows every day. This is the Lords work. Hope you all have a great week!
